If you’re doing “everything right” and still NOT losing weight, this video is for you. Many of us start out a weight loss journey with all of the best intentions – we prepare to eat right, we workout more often, and try to make the best choices to see results.

Sometimes, even when you’re doing all of those things, you still might experience resistance to weight loss. And you won’t be the only person to have faced this seemingly HUGE obstacle.

The truth is, there could be simple reasons that you’re experiencing a resistance to weight loss that you just haven’t thought of before. This video will help you identify them so you will know which approach might work best for you in combatting your resistance to weight loss.

I hope this video brings an awareness to anyone who is struggling to see results in their current weight loss plan. If you can develop an awareness through deeper mindfulness about what your body is trying to tell you, then you can combat weight loss resistance by making choices that work for YOU as an individual. Everybody is different, and everybody’s body is different: we need to listen to what our body is telling us.

Oh my god! I I’ve been eating clean, I’ve been doing the right thing, I’m gaining weight…
What’s going on here? In this video I’m going to share with you 5 sneaky ways you could be gaining weight and have no idea. What’s up guys my name is Tom from Spartan Home Fitness, I help people get fit healthy and expand their minds through wellness and spirituality. Now, in today’s video I’m going to talk about five sneaky ways you could be gaining weight and have no idea and this is so common with a lot of my clients that have had trouble with this
and it could be you too. Number one, a big thing that could be troubling you with weight gain and you have no idea is portion control. Now 22 pieces of nuts can come out to
around like 180 190 calories now multiply that by two you got like 380 close to 400 calories and you had no idea. I can’t tell you how many times that my clients will make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and eye out two tablespoons and it ends up being like four which will be
hundreds and hundreds of calories over what you think it is. So a way to combat this is to have measuring cups and measuring spoons and when you’re tracking on an app like myfitnesspal which counts your calories you can accurately put in your portion sizes. There’s so many ways you can overlook this! A lot of my clients will get two cups of rice or multiple cups of rice or have a heaping plate of rice and think it’s one cup when it’s really two cups so they’re actually getting like 40 more grams of carbs than they expect which adds up over time. Number two
a little emotion called stress will impede your weight loss goals. Stress actually increases a hormone called Cortisol which puts your body into a fat storing environment which is something we don’t want for weight loss. Number three lack of sleep! Now sleep plays an important role with recovery and lack of sleep can actually bring that stress hormone that we were talking about before cortisol up which is not good for weight loss. Also, lack of sleep could increase
your your appetite for carbs and sugary foods which will also play havoc on the body so sleeping optimally for six to eight hours a night especially on the higher range of eight hours will make sure that we’re recovering, our metabolism is boosted and that we’re not craving some of those sugary fatty foods. Number four artificial sugars and diet drinks! Now I know what you’re
thinking I drink diet soda and how could that be bad for me it’s zero calories? Well, actually the opposite is true. It could be actually really harmful to your health. Studies show that sugar-free additives such as aspartame can increase appetite and it’s actually 200 times sweeter than actual sugar which tricks the sweet receptors in the brain to think that it’s sugar which will increase your appetite for sugary foods and carbs now, over time also this will increase insulin production in the body when there’s no sugar even there so over time you’re actually putting yourself at risk for increasing type 2 diabetes. Last but not least number five having a hormonal imbalance or food sensitivity. Now these go hand in hand I can’t tell you how many times i’ve had a client come to me and lose that first initial five pounds and then get stuck and they’re like Tom I don’t get it i’ve been eating healthy, I’ve been working out six days a week why am I not losing weight? So, i’ll give them a metabolic assessment and find out that they’re either lactose
intolerant, maybe they have a gluten sensitivity or they have leaky gut syndrome and just by changing their diet…..
